The second edition grew bigger in every way. NASC opened the campus to almost 800 students from more than 100 schools nationwide, who took part in as many as 20 events, including around 200 project entries. thedailystar
The festival now welcomed both school and college students, competing in Junior and Senior groups. Olympiads expanded to nine subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, ICT, Astronomy, Environment, and General Science. Project entries were judged in psychological, mechanical, non-mechanical, and IT categories. New events joined the lineup, including Sudoku, science fiction story writing, scrapbook display, science-based extempore speech, crosswords, and Criminal Identification. Judges again came from Dhaka University and BUET.
This edition also marked the first issue of NASC’s annual science publication, NEUTRINO, released as the festival souvenir. The college principal attended both ceremonies, and SHOUT was Youth Partner for the festival. thedailystar
